Here as requested~

I really do think you did a pretty good job at conveying the original design of the character & the colors on the piece are very well combined though as you stated below in your description, the unevenness of the line art is very distracting. This tends to carry out a bit into the shaded sections though you seem to be pretty aware of where the light source is coming from so I have to praise you on that aspect. Also be sure demonstrate the moment of “Leen”‘s spine via shading to detail it’s head looking backwards.

You can also add fur patterns www.deviantart.com/browse/all/… into the shading to bring out more of the design.

Here’s some tutorials associated to coloring & line art in PS that may be of interest to you since they display a few techniques that you can utilize on this piece or any future ones you intend to do:

In addition, the limbs of “Leen” should be rounder (like dragon talons) towards the section that connects them to the body and moved closer it’s “chest” area for a more visually appealing design.

I hope that this can be of help to you & I wish you luck with future pieces. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l…" width="19" height="19" alt=":la:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="577" title="La la la la"/> Don’t be afraid to ask any questions if you need to have anything clarified.
